Entente
The group behind Haven and Detente

Trust is the product.

Elegant systems built on open standards.

Entente builds secure communication software. Haven and Detente carry the work; the same practice takes a small number of outside engagements.

02

Capabilities

Security architecture

Threat models, trust boundaries, and the invariants that keep a system honest under load.

Cryptography and E2EE

Production end-to-end encryption on vetted primitives, from key custody to wire format.

MLS and MIMI interoperability

Standards-conformant group messaging and cross-provider interoperability, not a walled garden.

Backend and infrastructure

Services built to run quietly, recover cleanly, and leave an audit trail worth trusting.

These are not slideware. Each capability is carried in production by Haven and Detente, and by ongoing work in the open standards that make them interoperable.

03

Built in the open

Secure software earns trust by being inspectable and standards-based, not by asking for it.

Engagements

The group is engaged in its own products, and takes a small number of outside engagements each year.

Security architecture, cryptography, and secure backends, including fractional CTO for teams building trust-critical software. Selective by design, so the work gets the attention it needs.

Haven

Encrypted email and messaging, unified.

Haven is the first end-to-end encrypted platform to bring email and IETF-standard MLS group messaging into one interoperable product. Private by default, and built so the privacy is something you can verify rather than something you are asked to trust.

01

What it is

Most secure messengers ask you to trust them. Haven is built so you do not have to: email stays interoperable with the world, group messaging runs on an open standard, and the cryptography protecting both is public.

02

Why it holds up

01

Standards, not silos

Group messaging is built on MLS, the IETF standard for secure group communication. Email remains email, and works with everyone.

02

Trust you can verify

Haven's cryptographic core is open source and independently reviewable. The interface never shows more security than it can prove.

03

You hold the keys

Recovery is a 24-word seed you control. There is no operator-held reset, because there is no master key to steal.

04

Everywhere you work

One encrypted account across web and Android, with iOS on the way.

Built for people who need privacy to do their work, and comfortable enough to be the way everyone else communicates too.

See what private communication should feel like.

Detente

Coordinate AI agents, securely.

Detente is a secure console for coordinating AI agents across vendors. It treats agent coordination as secure group communication, with membership and authorization built on the same open standards as the rest of the group. In active development, dogfooded on our own fleet.

01

The problem

Teams increasingly run fleets of AI agents across different vendors, with no secure, auditable place to coordinate them. Detente is that place.

02

How it works

01

Cross-vendor by design

One secure console across AI providers, not locked to a single vendor.

02

Membership as cryptography

Who is in the room is a cryptographic fact, built on MLS group epochs, not a setting someone can quietly change.

03

Auditable by construction

A signed, organisation-held record of what agents did and who authorised it.

04

Built on open standards

MLS today, MIMI interoperability next, the same standards Haven helps shape.

Detente is early and moving fast. We build it in the open and run it on our own fleet before anyone else has to.

A calmer way to run a fleet of agents.
